Here I found my lost items, so I start with the one on the kitchen and more particularly to a photo or parsnip parsnips in English. This is a vegetable has completely disappeared from the French market 30 years ago. its taste and texture similar to a salsify, nothing to cross the English Channel to taste so ... 
In the same vein I can introduce the butternut squash or doubeurre France. Resembles a pumpkin. Traditionally it is cut into pieces that are roasted in the oven in oil. Not bad at all. 
We finally arrive at the traditional lunch on Sunday afternoon called Roast Dinner (literally roast dinner.
That it's ready there's more but enjoy ... which consists of t-he?
So we have:
1) good roast parsnips (cool)
2) a Yorkshire pudding sort of plain popcorn.
3) of stuffing, or stuffing, we eat mixed vegetables.
4) assorted vegetables (peas, broccoli and carrots in general)
5) of mashed potatoes
6) roast chicken.
Everything is sprinkled with a sauce called gravy that is made of meat juice, flour and water.
This is the dish of the family breakfast par excellence. But like always never the same. If we are lucky we will the currant sauce that marries perfectly with the dish.
